THE CRISIS OF RELIGIOUS FAITH AND RULING POLITICS
 
 

The companies that involved themselves against the Will of Sudanese People to assist Al-Haraka Islamiya State and Party to exploit for war mongering and corruption the oil fields of Southern Sudan, Nuba Mountains, Ingessana, and DarFur included Talisman and China. These non-Muslim companies are now dealt with by their own citizens and shareholders due to the pressure exerted by Sudanese and other concerned parties at home and in Diaspora to pull them out of Sudan.

What is amazing is that the shareholders, supposedly Muslims, from Pakistan, Malaysia, and Qatar who are competing to get the best concessions from Al-Haraka Islamiya State and they did obtain many, were not deterred from involving themselves in the willful capitalist investment they are pursuing to assist the NIF Congress rule to survive and continue the killing and displacement regime is carrying on against the indigenous population, the real owners of the oil-fields in the absence of a Sudanese democratic government.

Your Haraka Islamiya investors showed no sign of concern for Islam as a religion of justice and fairness since the terms of contracts they signed with the ruling group are unfair and are exploitative.

What Malaysia, Pakistan, and Qatar companies are investing in Sudan under the circumstances stay in one degree with the non-Muslim investors. Couldn't these greedy groups wait until the real owners of business start the business?! This indicates that Faith had nothing to do with the cheap benefits of international robbery and unethical trade that your Haraka processed in Sudan along with mischief and bloodshed. Is this what your international Haraka Islamiya stands for in actual fact?!

THE GENOCIDE OF SUDANESE PEOPLE AND CULTURES

The Haraka Islamiya State and Party, the wreckage it made of our beautiful Homeland against our People, the Sudanese Muslim or non-Muslim, is sinful because:

1. The Haraka Islamiya acted as a savage monster to eradicate Sudanese women and children. It did eradicate thousands of innocent civilians in all corners of the State.

2. It has implemented an anti-Islamic violence-based program, the offensively-called Islamic Project, against humanity to pursue ethnic cleansing of Sudanese women, children, youth, and elderly of whom tens of thousands of innocent non-Muslims were killed in cold blood all over Southern Sudan, Nuba Mountains, and Ingessana Hills for nothing but war mongering. Most victims were taken to torture, enslavement, and death by Shubha [suspicion] or simply by residence, non-Arabic names, or non-Muslim faith. Sudanese ask: Since Islam prohibits bloodshed and Shubha is prohibited because it even nullifies prayers, let alone accusing and killing innocent People, did the Ulama and Thinkers signatories to the Call with all the specialists who signed with them say any word to protest this murderous suspicion as a non-Islamic atrocity? Did they stop the Haraka Islamiya State and Party from torturing peace-advocates who supported the Sudanese Peace Agreement that the Haraka willfully canceled?

    

3. It has extra-judicially killed thousands of innocent Sudanese of whom majority were innocent Nuba Muslims, the Massaleit and Zagawa Muslims of DarFur, and the Rashyda and Beja of Eastern Sudan besides the Ansar Sunna who were massacred while performing the Friday prayers at the mosque, Khatmiya, Ansar, and many other Muslims.

4. It has involved in an unprecedented anti-Islamic Project of bloodshed and sequestration of property of thousands of Sudanese, Muslim or non-Muslim, all over the country with executive decrees issued and applied by president Omer Bashir through the close and continuous guidance of the Haraka Islamiya led by za'im Al-Haraka Dr. Hassan Turabi and his assistants, especially Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, Dr. Ghazi Al-Atabani, and all of the other civil and military leaders of the NIF Congress State and Party.

The Islamic Project of your Haraka Islamiya State and Party did not only endeavor to conquer the Sudanese democratic State that developed over a century of Sudanese active nationalist movement and was certainly prone to go for more development and progression had it not been for your reactionary backward and violent intrusions in Sudanese nationalist movement. Your so-called Islamic Project came to conquer Sudanese State and Society as Professor Ali Abd-Allah Abbas, President of the Sudanese University Professors' Union, succinctly stated early in 1989.

Your emphasis on Arabizing the already Arabized North was such a masterful disaster for actually there is nothing in Sudanese realities or experiences that approximated your massive attack on Sudanese cultures under the Haraka Islamiya rule. Sudanese use the Arabic language in their daily life, including reading the Qur'an, as well as government and market correspondence without any need for compulsion to adopt more Arabic. The non-Arab Sudanese have constructed their own formulation of Arabic to communicate with their counterparts, the Arab-Speaking nationals for centuries. Different versions of Arabic became a pure Sudanese cultural heritage and an artistic addition to Sudanese social life such as the Juba Arabic, the Beja Arabic, Nubians' Arabic, among many others.
